    The Beginnings…

Kenya Australia Missions was born out of small beginnings. Originally started by the founder Jenny Jack in 2003 and has proven to be most rewarding.

Stating with the rescue of a number of young men, taking them out of drug and alcohol abuse. From there It grew to support children in school, setting up Micro-businesses, supporting widows, orphans. Assisting Pastors to go to Bible College and increase their knowledge. Also assisting with feeding programs for street children.

In 2008 it took another turn. During the Tribal Clashes many thousands of people became displaced, many houses were burned and destroyed. Some lost their lives and many others were destitute with nowhere to go.

The church at Wanyororo was able to help and assist during this time by providing mattresses, clothing, food, cooking pots utensils and many other necessities such as food, flour, sugar, milk, oil, soap and other items to sustain life were supplied through the local church at Wanyororo.

Many people were rescued through the help provided and people were blessed. They started coming to church All Nations Arise and Shine Church. Consequently the church grew and as they were meeting in a small building it became too small to meet their needs.

As a result a piece of land was bought and a primitive structure was built on it. This was developed into a meeting place. It has no walls and is very basic and this also is now too small due to further growth. More land has been bought and the church has been planning to have a larger church, together with small community houses to serve the many widows, who lost their husbands in the clashes. A water well is also in the planning at the church, which will provide much needed clean water for the community.

A brick making machine is being purchased for the building of the church, with a three-fold purpose. Making bricks for the church, the community and setting up a micro-business. The building of the church will also help many of the youth, who is currently being sponsored for secondary college and a number at university, and vocational training institutes.
Micro-businesses is a vital part of the work in Kenya. Several have been set up, with a view to increase this area. Assisting people to establish micro-enterprise business that will benefit the individual, family, community and local church. Initiate commercial ventures that will provide employment and opportunity for believers (and others). Encourage saving – develop community banking loan system and repayment scheme.
